Should I trust my intuition or my analytical mind?

What it really comes down to is should I make a decision based on love or a decision based on fear?

Every day, we face various choices – what to eat, what to wear, what to do. Most of the time, we might just make random choices and not put a lot of thought on each. But what about for major life decisions that make us unable to sleep at night? What about for choices that require us to really think, and reflect?

Which career should I pursue? Should I marry bob or Suzy? Do I really want to have children? Should I take this trip? Should I buy this car? Should I adopt a dog or a cat?

Too often, when we’re faced with a life-changing decision, our hearts and our heads come in conflict. But what should the choice really be? Should we always go for what our head tells us, or should we give what our heart desires a chance?

Every person’s choice can be big or small, relative to them but can have a fundamental impact on their reality.

This conflict has come up for me this week and I have a big choice to make.

Firstly, there is no wrong or right choice – there is however the option of most alignment with your higher self or soul’s path.

There is a choice that takes you on the easiest journey or another choice that holds more challenges, both are correct, and both will get to your eventual destination, although the later may take just a few more lifetimes to reach.

Following your heart will not always spell success. But doing so can change you and there’s one thing I’ve learned – when we follow our heart, we live with little regrets!

Choosing our heart over our head can unlock so many possibilities for us!

When it comes to making choices, following your heart and following fear will both offer different experiences.

 

What is the heart?

Your heart is more than your body’s most important organ—it’s also the essence of your spiritual and emotional being.

Listening to your heart is much more valuable than always making decisions with your head, your analytical or rational mind.

When you fall in love, you feel your heart flutter, beat loudly or leap for joy; when you’re rejected, your heart breaks. Yet your heart is so much more than a vessel for romance.

Your soul, higher self, your heart knows all about you, your life and you many lives and is much more equipped to make the most aligned and best decision for you, it sees the bigger picture the magic and the possibilities and the probabilities and the opportunities that can happen along the way if we live with our heart and open ourselves up to vulnerability and surrender to a power much greater than us.

While the conscious mind is the content of who you are, your heart is your essence.

 

Do I make a choice based on the heart?

I have a choice to make, a decision, one decision is heart centred I will call Option A and it fills me with excitement but also fear and the other decision, I’ll call option B is very safe and most practical.

Option A – I have been wanting this in my heart for a long time, I would like to do some travelling around Europe and also to meet Edward. It fills me with delight and excitement, but now it has manifested, so too have my fears and I can easily rationalise them with my practical mind.

Mostly the travel, it really is not the best time to travel, flights change daily in the current global climate in which we are living and what if I can’t return home for a while. What if I fail? But can I really fail? and what if I spread my wings and fly?

Do I dive into the unknow? Follow my heart? Trust and surrender to the universe? Follow my passions? Do I follow my future memories, my intuition and trust the unfolding of it? Or do I wait, and wait for what? Do I leave the travel for another day, or perhaps another lifetime?

Option B – is to stay at home and wait for perhaps many months or even years to travel to stay in my safe and predictable bubble.

I live in a sort of paradise, I truly mean that, I am very happy and most grateful for all aspects of my life now, but my heart stirs for more . I have everything around me on the physical plane in perfect order. While the non physical realm always surprises and delights me. Why change it you might say?

Staying with Option B would feel kind of feel like always ordering vanilla ice cream when there are so many other flavours to choose from.

I once knew a man that only ordered vanilla ice cream and when I asked why he said, because he always knew what it would taste like.

Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with vanilla ice cream, but if I had no choice to choose another flavour, I may get sick of it.

I also thought of why we incarnate into our humanness, while the nonphysical realm is beautiful, paradise – it does not offer us the experiences to evolve and grow like this human experience can – the joy of learning, the joy of knowing love and the joy of knowing who we are and the joy of life, of living life to the fullest and the joy of surrendering and following our heart.

 

So these are my thoughts on why I should follow my Heart.

I have seen future visions, like scenes from a movie of both timelines, option a and option b, both choices are not wrong, there is no wrong choice. One timeline offers me more conflict and contrast, but also tremendous excitement, love and personal growth and sets my heart on fire.

The other, offers me the same in a lesser degree.

“One requires me to give up the need to control, asks me to surrender completely to the unknown. One makes my heart flutter and one makes me feel comfortable, one enables me to thrive and one enables me to grow, one option enables me to live and the other live life to the fullest, one asks for me to be vulnerable and the other asks me to be responsible, one asks me to lay myself bare and the other sees me modest, one asks me to embrace my fears and the other allows fear to control me.”

So which option A or B?

What if I could record a Luisa TV episode in a different place each time? What if I could share my joys and sorrows with you? My travel adventures and my metapyscial insights? What if I could share my loneliness with you, what if I share with you how I got really lost? OK so just on a side note, I am really bad with directions – But what if I found my way and had the most remarkable, wonderful experience, and I met the most interesting person along the path. What if I could share with you I sat in a café alone, having no idea what I would be doing tomorrow or my tomorrows after that but I ate the most delicious meal, washed down with a glass of wine.

What if I could share with you, I am ok with all of that – Because I chose to live – I chose to love –– I chose to follow my heart.

 

What I realised after all these questions is;

When I can show up as me, Luisa with no expectations and allow for magic and synchronicities and miracles then this is my ultimate freedom.

Whether, I choose option A or option B, I am doing this for the experience – not the end goal – not the expectations of how things should be or how people should act or more importantly how I should act.

When I release the need to have a goal, release the need to control how things should end – this releases all my suffering.

When I realise the journey never ends, there is no beginning and there is no end, just the continual flow of energy, what we call life and life is a series of experiences after experiences to enrich the soul – when we follow our hearts our intuition – this is how you find your passion this is how you find your joy – this is how you find your purpose – this is how you find freedom and this is how you live a full life without regrets

Why Following the Heart is always the Best Path?

Sometimes life requires logic and strategy. But if that’s all I used when it came to pursuing my dreams, I wouldn’t get anywhere.

So where in your life can you make choices from your heart?

Where in your life are you willing to allow yourself to let go of the need to control, take a jump and possibly fly?

Where in your life are you ready to live?

Where in your life are you ready to trust and surrender to a divine power far greater than you.

What would you like to say to yourself at the end of your life?

I know I would like to reflect and say,

I embraced life?  I lived from my heart? I lived a full lived life, I loved, my life was filled with passion, and I don’t regret a moment of it!

What is life about without a little risk and adventure?

I have to quote a legend here, Mr. Frank Sinatra

I’ve lived a life that’s full
I’ve traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way
